Virginia is for Leavers
Virginia’s state slogan might be “Virginia is for lovers”—which certainly applies in our case—but our motto today is “Virginia is for leavers.”
Today we launch a whole new chapter of the trip: we exit Virginia (for the third time this trip) to head west for Tennessee.
As much as we love Virginia, it’s time to make like a tree and leave.

OMG–you were within spittin’ distance of us last month!! Come back to New England–it’s GORGEOUS right now!! We’re in south central New Hampshire, in a converted barn on a mountain with a brook right behind the house–with LOTS of guest space. Thanks to Jennifer I found you, but can’t believe you’re headed the “wrong way!” Please be in touch!! I miss you!
Good to hear from you, Janice!! I tried emailing you before we left–don’t know if the address was right–and I’ve been telling ‘Janice’ stories, in an attempt to invoke you…
Hope we see you around more often =]
Well, you conjured me!! I just wrote you a long email at your gmail address, so go forth and read, my son! ;)
Fall is so much more spectacular on the East Coast. I am originally from New England. Connecticut in particular and never fully appreciated the beauty until I moved out here to Texas. Isn’t that always the way, you never know what you have until it is gone.
Great photo. ;)
